Villa Vie Residences has unveiled plans for a new and larger premium residential cruise ship.
The new cruise ship, Legacy, will be a sister ship to Villa Vie Odyssey, which set sail in September 2024.
Launching in early 2029, Legacy is expected to feature residences around 50 per cent larger than comparable accommodations aboard Odyssey, as well as expanded dining venues, larger public spaces, enhanced wellness facilities and additional luxury amenities.
Ownership pricing and monthly maintenance are anticipated to average approximately 30 per cent more than Odyssey, Villa Vie Residences said.
Rather than asking buyers to choose between Odyssey and Legacy, Villa Vie Residences is introducing a new ownership model that gives buyers residential rights on both ships through its Endless Horizons lifetime residency programme.
Pricing starts from $349,999 (£263,000) with no monthly fees. Buyers get guaranteed access to a cabin on the ships but don’t have ownership rights so can’t renovate or rent out the room.
Villa Vie Residences has not yet revealed details of the cruise ship it will purchase and transform into Legacy, but it is already offering 24 buyers the opportunity to immediately live on Odyssey and transfer to the new ship when it launches in 2029.
Full details, renderings, amenities, itineraries and ownership opportunities for Legacy will be unveiled during Villa Vie Odyssey's two-year “Sailaversary Celebration” at the end of September.
Villa Vie Odyssey has now sold more than 85 per cent of its available residences.

If you don’t want to wait until 2029, Avora Residences, a luxury sister brand created by the parent company behind Villa Vie, is launching a luxury residential cruise ship called Lumina in 2028.
It is being converted from the former Seven Seas Navigator and is scheduled to make its maiden voyage from Lisbon, Portugal, with 268 residences in January 2028.
