What a private concierge in Greece actually does and why it matters

I have been doing this since 1999.

Twenty-five years. The telephone calls at two in the morning. The villa owner who said no, and then said yes. The yacht that needed a crew change forty-eight hours before departure. The table at the restaurant that had been fully booked for six weeks until it was not. I have lived inside these problems long enough to know that they are not problems at all. They are simply the work.

My name is Tolis Voutsas. Some years ago I founded Concierge Unique, a private luxury concierge service operating from Mykonos and Athens. We have been at it, without interruption, for a quarter of a century. We have never taken out an advertisement. We have never required one.

What people get wrong about the word concierge

The word has been stretched until it covers almost nothing. You will find it on hotel desks, on applications for your telephone, on websites that will happily recommend a restaurant in exchange for a percentage of your bill. This is not what I am describing.

What I do is built on a different foundation altogether. There is no fixed ecosystem here, no preferred supplier list, no arrangement with anyone that places their interests above the client’s. Over twenty-five years in Mykonos and across Greece, I have built something simpler and considerably more useful: I know the right people. Property owners who do not advertise their finest houses anywhere. Marina operators who understand which captains are worth their hire and which are not. The men and women who have been running the best restaurants in Europe for twenty years, who take my call on a Sunday afternoon because we have done good business together for a very long time.

You cannot buy this kind of access. You earn it, year by year, by showing up and by delivering.

The work itself

Let me be plain about what Concierge Unique actually arranges, because vague language has never served anyone well.

Villa rentals in Mykonos and across Greece

We go directly to property owners, not to platforms. The result is access to houses that are never listed publicly: estates above the sea, beachfront compounds, retreats of considerable privacy. We look after everything that surrounds the stay as well. A private chef. Housekeeping. Security if it is needed. The kind of support that turns a rental into something rather more than that.

Yacht charters in the Aegean

I have spent twenty-five years watching people try to charter a yacht without proper guidance, and it rarely ends well. The Aegean is magnificent sailing water; the light over the Cyclades in August is, I would argue, unmatched anywhere on earth. But the right vessel, the right crew, the right itinerary: these require knowledge that takes years to acquire. We arrange charters ranging from a half-day out of Mykonos harbour to passages of several weeks. Every detail confirmed. Nothing improvised.

Private aviation

Greece is an archipelago, which means moving between islands is a question that must be answered properly. We have the relationships with aviation operators to answer it: private jets, helicopters, VIP airport handling. The journey, in my view, is part of the experience. We treat it accordingly.

Exclusive dining and reservations

Mykonos has produced some remarkable restaurants and beach clubs. It has also produced waiting lists of considerable length. We secure tables at places where visitors are routinely told there is nothing available. Not by any trick, but by being the person the owner calls when something opens up, because we have been sending him serious clients since before most of his current staff were old enough to work.

Destination weddings and private events

People travel from every corner of the world to marry in Greece. Mykonos and Santorini offer something that is very difficult to replicate elsewhere. We have been producing weddings and private events since the beginning: venue, entertainment, catering, guest logistics, security. Small gatherings and large ones. The standard does not change with the size.

Security and close protection

Many of our clients require professional security during their time in Greece. We arrange this with the discretion the matter demands. Licensed personnel. Proper advance work. Nothing announced unless announcement serves a purpose.

Who we work for

Our clients are wealthy people: ultra-high-net-worth individuals, royal families, celebrities, corporate leaders of consequence. They have not come to us because they lack options. They have come because they know what good service looks like and they have stopped tolerating anything less.

In 2016, ProtoThema, which is Greece’s largest news portal, reported that every element of Leonardo DiCaprio’s stay in Mykonos had been managed entirely by Concierge Unique. We have worked with U2, the Rolling Stones, Jon Bon Jovi, Lionel Richie, Sir Philip Green, and a considerable number of others whose names we do not mention because discretion is not a policy with us. It is a habit, and habits go deeper than policies.

What all these clients share is a particular expectation. They do not want a list of suggestions. They want to arrive and find that everything is already settled. The villa exactly as described. The yacht at the dock. The table confirmed. Someone who genuinely knows this part of the world managing every detail personally, without needing to be reminded.

Everything you need to plan your trip in 2026

Why Mykonos is harder than it looks

Greece has changed considerably over the past decade. The investment in hospitality, the calibre of visitor, the level of spending: Mykonos now stands alongside the finest luxury destinations anywhere in Europe. The transformation has been real and it has been rapid.

With it has come complexity. In high season, Mykonos is not straightforward to navigate without the right connections. The best villas are limited in number and they go quickly. Good restaurants require planning of a kind that most visitors badly underestimate. Yacht availability at the highest level moves fast among the operators who know what they are doing.

A concierge who has operated in this market for twenty-five years is not, for a certain type of client, an optional extra. It is simply the sensible way to do things.

How we operate

There are no packages. No catalogues. No automated systems and no waiting lists. Every engagement begins with a direct conversation, by telephone, email, or WhatsApp, about what the client actually needs. We listen. We plan. We execute. The same team from first contact to final departure.

Our fees are stated plainly at the outset. Nothing is added later. Our discretion is absolute.

Concierge Unique holds four international awards: Best Luxury Concierge Service in Mykonos from LUXlife Magazine in 2023; Best Luxury Concierge Services Provider in Greece from Acquisition International in 2025; Best Global Luxury Concierge Services Provider from EU Business News in 2025; and Best Luxury Concierge Services in Mykonos, Greece from Luxury Lifestyle Awards in 2026.

We operate from Mykonos and Athens. We cover all of Greece and, through partnerships built across twenty-five years, a good deal of the world beyond it.

If you are planning time in Greece and want every detail handled properly, I invite you to get in touch directly through Concierge Unique. Every enquiry is answered personally. There is no other way we know how to do it.
